Getting the most out of this
- •Statutory ratios are a minimum, not a target. Many settings staff above ratio to cover breaks, nappy changes and SEND support.
- •A full and relevant level 3 must be counted for most rooms. Check the EYFS qualification requirements if you are unsure.
- •For mixed-age rooms, the youngest child determines the ratio. Never apply the older children's ratio to a mixed group.
