Getting the most out of this
- •The SEND Code of Practice expects a graduated approach: assess, plan, do, review — usually on a termly cycle, with parents involved at every round.
- •Two or three targets is plenty. A plan with ten targets is a plan nobody delivers.
- •Never record or imply a diagnosis. Describe need and provision, and route any referral through your SENDCO and local authority.
